This pictures are an interesting reminder of how censored the holiday is in the mainstream. The role of women is shown as the house keeper and laborer; all the people look healthy and happy to help. I wonder if that is the true feelings that were going during that time.
Your work, since I taught you in 300 (and you taught me) has grown incrementally, and is getting more and more complex. I surely do hope you see graduate studies in your near future... don't wait too long, because you are grad school material!
I also hope you will continue to develop this blog as a personal space to grow out your own space as an Indigenous Woman.
I'm certain that your contributions as an Indigena/Native woman to the growing work in this field will be critical and important.
